Description

This milestone, located 1100 meters southwest of the Leckford Hutt Public House in Little Somborne, dates from the 18th century. It is made of painted stone and has a square section with a chamfered top edge. The stone is set diagonally on the road, with the corner facing the road cut away at the bottom. The inscriptions on two faces read '64 Miles to LONDON' and '3 Miles to STOCKBRIDGE', while the cut-away corner displays '18 to BAS'.
