Description
Haydown Lodge is an early 19th-century Cottage Orne, with a 20th-century extension. The original part consists of a single storey with a hipped roof that projects beyond the walls, forming a verandah supported by rustic poles. It has two casement windows on the east and south sides, and a simple doorway on the south side. The 20th-century extension to the west is of a single storey and attic, featuring a gable (half-hipped) and a gabled dormer window above a ground-floor window, linking the extension to the original cottage. The walls of the lodge are rendered and the roof is thatched.
