Description
Nos. 26 and 28 are a pair of cottages that originated as a house from the 17th century, later encased in the 18th century and repaired in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame encased in brick, with blue headers, and has an old plain tile roof. It is 1½ storeys high, with three bays and a passage/chimney bay, along with an outshot at the rear.
A 20th-century planked door is located in a narrow bay to the right of the center. The end bays have 3-light lattice paned casements, while the center bay contains a 3-light casement and the left bay has two single casements, all set under wider arches with segmental heads. Additionally, there is a 3-light casement in an eyebrow dormer at the center. The roof is half-hipped, featuring a stack above the door and external stacks at each end.
