Description
Nos. 15 and 16 are a pair of cottages that were originally a house, dating from the 17th century but encased in 18th-century brick and altered in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame encased in brick with a flint outshot and has a thatched roof. It is 1½ storeys high with three bays and a chimney bay, along with a left outshot. Each end has a sloping brick buttress, and there are 20th-century doors in the left bay and between the right bays. Each bay has a 19th-century two-light casement window, and above the left and right bays are two-light leaded casements set in eyebrow dormers. The roof slopes down to the left and is half-hipped to the right, featuring a ridge piece. There is a large stack above the chimney bay and a projecting stack at the right end.
