Description
Charity Farm House is a 17th-century farmhouse that was refenestrated in the 19th century. It possibly has a timber-frame core and features early chequer brickwork with an old plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has five bays, including a chimney bay and a passage bay, with wings extending to the rear of the right and centre bays; the centre wing is from the 17th century, while the right wing is from the 18th century. The 18th-century entrance consists of a six-panel half-glazed door set in a solid frame with a flat hood supported by two posts. The end bays have two-light casement windows, while the centre bay has a three-light casement, all of which are adorned with stucco hood moulds. There is a string course on the first floor, where two-light casements are found, except in the chimney bay. A large stack is positioned above the chimney bay.
