Description

Church Farm House is a timber-frame farmhouse, originally dating to the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The building has brick infill and a thatched roof. It is one-and-a-half stories high, comprising three bays, with a smoke/passage bay and the right bay rebuilt in the 18th century. A planked door is set within a solid frame in the narrow bay in the centre of the frame. Each side of the centre bay features a three-light casement window, with a smaller three-light casement in an eyebrow dormer above. The right bay has two-light casement windows, one above the other. The roof is half-hipped to the right and hipped to the left, with a ridge piece. There is a large chimney stack above the narrow bay and at the right end of the building.
