Description
Corner Cottage is a cottage that dates from the late 15th century, with later encasements and extensions from the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a cruck timber-frame structure that is encased in brick, along with brick additions. The building consists of four bays, with the left end rebuilt in the 17th century and an additional bay added to the left in the 18th century. A wing has been added to the rear at the center. Each bay contains a three-light casement window with a segmental head. In the left 15th-century bay, there is a projecting brick porch that has a six-pane half-glazed door in the center, flanked by blind panels on each side. On either side of the door, there are eyebrow dormers with two-light casements. The roof is half-hipped with a ridge piece, and there is a stack located on the ridge above the door and between the right bays.
