Description

Rowans is a 17th and 18th century cottage, altered in the 19th century. It is timber-frame construction with colourwashed brick infill and additions, covered by a shingle and slate roof. The cottage is one and a half storeys high, with four bays, the central bays dating back to the 17th century. A 20th century oriel window is located in the right bay. Each bay features a one or two-light casement window. The right three bays contain a dormer with a sloping roof. A chimney stack is situated above the left bay.
