Description

Aberdeen Cottage is a 17th and 18th century cottage situated in East Tytherley. It has a timber-frame core, which is encased in colourwashed brick and flint and cob, topped with a thatched roof. The cottage is of 1½ storeys and originally comprised two bays, with an 18th century bay added to the right. A stable door is located between the original bays, set under a tile and timber open porch. A 2-light casement window, with a segmental head, is present in the left-hand bay. The central bay has a 5-light casement, and the right bay a 2-light casement. Above the central bays is a 2-light casement within an eyebrow dormer. The half-hipped roof has a ridge piece and stacks are situated between the bays.
