Description

No. 13 is a house located in Houghton, dating from the late 18th century, with an earlier core. It features a timber-frame core, brick construction, and an old plain tile roof. The building is two stories high, with three bays and a smoke bay, and a wing extending to the rear on the right. The entrance consists of a half-glazed door with a segmental head, set beneath a flat hood supported by timber posts, positioned between the right bays. On both floors, there are three-light casement windows under rubbed brick arches on each side. To the left of the entrance is the smoke bay, followed by two similar windows in the left bay. There are chimney stacks at each end of the building and over the smoke bay.
