Description
The Ampfield Par Three Golf Course cottage and attached barns date from the early 19th century. The cottage is built of painted brick, while the stables and barn are constructed from weatherboarded timber-frame, all topped with slate roofs. The cottage, which faces the road, is two stories high with two bays and features an outshot at the rear. It has a high unpainted brick plinth, three-light casement windows with camber heads, and a two-light casement window above, all made of cast iron. The roof overhangs at both ends, and there are stacks at the ends. The low stables include a window, a door, double doors, and a long window. The barn features a central gabled projecting porch with double doors and a lean-to in front of the far bay. This structure is included for its group value.
