Description
The Post Office Village Stores is a house with an attached shop, dating from the late 18th century and 19th century, with a shop added in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and has an old plain tile roof. It is a two-storey, three-bay house that is double-piled and has a set-back 19th-century bay at the far end, along with a single-storey shop at the road end from the mid-20th century. The front features a central plank door located within a 19th-century gabled timber porch. There are two-light cast-iron casement windows under cambered heads near each end of the ground floor. On the first floor above the door, there is a small light, with similar two-light casement windows on either side. Above the window in the far bay, there is a loft door. There are stacks located at the ends of the other pile.
