Description

No 168 on Knapp Lane is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century cladding and an extension. The building features a timber frame, which is partly exposed and mainly encased in brick arranged in English, Monk, and Flemish Garden Wall bonds. The gable is tile-hung with fishscale bands, and the roof is thatched. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and has three bays, including a 19th century bay at one end. The doorways are plain, and the windows show irregular spacing.
