Description
The Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was encased and extended in the 18th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a brick header bond refronting, topped with a thatched roof. The cottage is 1½ stories tall and has two bays, with 18th-century hip bays at each end. The front of the cottage has a plank door with a solid segmental head frame located to the left of the left bay. Each bay contains a 2-light segmental head casement, while the right hip bay has a plank door with a light above it. Above each bay, there are 2-light casements set in eyebrow dormers. The roof slopes down at both ends and has stacks at the left end of the ridge.
