Description

Furzey Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was altered in the 18th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and encasing, topped with a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of two bays. The front has a central plank door set in a solid frame. To the left, there is a 16-pane exposed frame sash window, and to the right, a 2-light casement window. All openings are topped with segmental heads. Above, the cottage displays an exposed wall-plate and two eyebrow dormers, each with 2-light casements. The roof is tall and half-hipped, with a central multi-flued stack. The timber frame is exposed on the right end.
