Description

Yew Tree is a cottage dating from the 17th century, altered in the 18th and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed with brick infill, topped with a thatched roof, and includes a brick and tile addition. The cottage is positioned with its end facing the road and is 1½ storeys high, with two bays. It has an outshot on the rear side and a 20th-century single-storey addition at the far end. The front elevation features a centrally positioned, gabled porch with tiled roofing and ½-glazed windows. Each side of the front has a 2-light casement window, and there is another window in an eyebrow dormer above. The roof is half-hipped, and a central ridge stack is present.
