Description
The Old Rectory is a late 18th-century rectory that has been altered in the 19th century and is now a private house. It is constructed of brick with a slate roof and has two storeys with three bays. The building features a double pile design, with an additional lower two-storey, three-bay range added at a slight angle to one end. The front of the house has a simple Doric porch with two stone steps leading up to it. Below the porch is a large half-glazed door. To the left, there is a 19th-century narrow edge-pane sash window under a segmental head, and to the right, a 12-pane sash window. On the first floor, there are 12-pane sash windows under rubbed brick arches, and to the left of the centre, there is a two-light casement window. There is a stack at the left-hand end and several ridge stacks on the rear pile.
