Description
Muffins is a cottage dating back to the 17th century, with additions from the 18th century and restoration work carried out in 1981. It is timber-framed with brick and some wattle and daub infill, along with brick additions, and has a thatched roof. The cottage is 1½ storeys and comprises a two-bay 17th-century section and a two-bay 18th-century addition at one end. The front of the older section is on the right-hand side and features a large central hipped roof porch with an arched opening. This section has two-light casement windows, and a two- or three-light eyebrow dormer on each side. The 18th-century addition has a central plank door, two-light casement windows, and a two-light eyebrow dormer on each side. The roof is hipped at the right-hand end. A stack is present at the left-hand end and between the bays of the older part of the cottage.
