Description

This drinking fountain, located in the recreation ground on Bath Road, was built in 1885. It is made of polished grey granite and features a flat octagonal plinth from which rises a cluster of four pillar shafts leading to a wide bowl. In the center of the bowl is a circular shaft adorned with four metal flowers and an inscription. The entire structure is topped with an urn and serves as a memorial to William Owen Rooke.
