Description
Cheney's Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with a front addition from the early 19th century. The building features an exposed timber frame with brick infill, along with other brick walling in Flemish bond using blue headers. The front block is adorned with yellow mathematical tiles that mimic Flemish bond, and it has rubbed flat arches and a cement plinth. The roof is tiled, hipped in part and also half-hipped, with a catslide section at the rear. The symmetrical west front has two storeys and three sash windows. There is a plain doorway set within a mid-19th century trellis porch. The longer rear block, which is the older section, has one storey and an attic, with gabled dormers and casement windows.
