Description

Bowmans Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with an 18th-century extension and recladding, and a 20th-century extension and restoration. The walls are of painted English garden wall bond brick, with some exposed timber framing. The roof is tiled, with a hip at the west end, a half-hip at the east, and dormers with sloping roofs. It is a long, narrow building with a north elevation of one storey and an attic, featuring a 2-over-4 window arrangement. The windows are casements, with two sash windows in exposed frames. A 20th-century half-glazed porch has been added. A granary has been demolished.
