Description
Wigley Manor is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a late 19th-century extension. The building features an exposed timber frame with painted brick infill, and has near outshots of painted brickwork. It has thatched roofs, hipped at the west end and half-hipped at the east, along with eyebrow dormers. The rear outshots are tiled. The north front elevation, which includes the later west side, has one storey in the attic and three windows above four on the ground floor. The ground-floor features 19th-century metal windows, with three lights that project beneath tile hoods, resting on carved brackets. There is a plain doorway leading into a tiled outshot. The timber framework is decorated with attached carved wooden ornaments, mainly figures and heads, likely of German origin and added in the 19th century.
