Description
Tarrytown is a house dating from the 17th century, constructed with a timber frame and featuring early and late 19th century, as well as 20th century extensions. The original central section has exposed framing with brick infill, while the other walls are made of brickwork in Flemish Garden Wall and Flemish bonds. The roof is tiled and has two levels, with the taller section (from the late 19th century) being hipped and half-hipped. The structure has a similar form on the center and north side, while the taller south side projects forward. The south-east front elevation consists of two storeys and one storey in the attic, with a total of 1.3 windows. The later part features sash windows, while the other sections have casement windows. There are two boarded doors in plain frames, set within 20th century open tiled porches.
