Description

These are an early 19th-century pair of stucco villas located on Bury Road. They have two storeys and a facade of 1.2.1 windows. Each villa has a recessed side entrance containing a round-headed doorway and one window. The first-floor windows are sash windows within reveals, and feature shutters. The ground-floor windows are French windows. Each projecting unit has a ground-floor square bay with a wrought-iron balcony and a slim cornice supported by four brackets. A coved roof covers the central recessed area. Prominent chimneys are a feature. Number 22 has a later one-window addition in a Regency style, but the overall appearance remains complete. The roofs are slate and hipped, with wide eaves featuring moulding against the wall. The walls are rendered and painted, with a plinth at the base.
