Description

Abingdon House is an early 19th-century building located on Bury Road. It is two stories tall and constructed from pale pinkish bricks. The house features flat eaves supported by widely spaced brackets and has a hipped slate roof. The front of the house has three bays, with the first-floor windows adorned with Venetian shutters. A central six-panelled door is topped by an arched fanlight that has a radiating and elaborately wreathed design. The entrance is framed by a porch with slender square columns that have moulded caps, supporting an entablature with a moulded dentil cornice and a flat lead roof above.
