Description

Nos 2 and 4, Queens Road date to around 1840. They are a three-storey, two-window building with stucco walling. The building has a parapet with coping stones and a full cornice returned on the south side. The first floor has a simple band, and the ground floor a rusticated plinth. Plain architraves frame the first and second floor openings, with cills supported by brackets. Later sash windows are present. The doorways are paired and arched. A good cast iron balcony projects forward, supported by three ‘trellis’ columns to form porches, with simple ornamental rails and brackets.
