Description
The old terminal of the railway station, formerly known as the main frontage of Gosport Station, was built around 1842 by Sir William Tite for the London and South Western Railway Company. The building features a long colonnade in the Tuscan Order that extends along the south entrance facade, culminating in arcaded blocks. The road facade includes three arches set in rusticated walling, flanked by pilasters, with a classical chimney stack as the central feature. The station has been derelict since 1979.
