Description
The lamp post, located centrally in front of the gateway at St George's Barracks, dates from the mid-19th century. It features a massive square base that rises and narrows in design. The upper half includes classical base moulds that support a spiral of dolphins. The design continues with hexagonal moulding and semi-natural forms, culminating in a small lamp at the top.
