Description
The Railway Hotel, dating from the mid-19th century, was formerly known as the Railway Tavern Hotel Spring Gardens House. It is part of a station scheme, although this was reportedly an unsuccessful venture. The building is three storeys high and features three windows on the main south elevation, with one-and-a-half windows facing the roadway. It is constructed of stucco and showcases a full classical Renaissance style. A large bay is present on the south side of the road elevation. The building is currently part derelict.
