Description

These are an early 19th century pair of stucco villas, likely dating to around 1820-1830, located on London Road. They are two storeys high with a tall basement, and each villa is three bays wide. The ground floor features two sash windows set within wide, segmental-headed recesses, and a round-headed doorway with an ornamental fanlight, also set within a round-headed recess. The upper floor has three sash windows, similarly recessed. A flight of steps leads up to the right-angled entrance of number 180, accompanied by iron railings; the steps leading to number 182 were removed in 1976. The building has flat, projecting eaves and a hipped slate roof. Side entrance walls feature ramped-up parapets. The villas may have been designed by George Smith.
