Description
Friends Farmhouse is a 17th-century building located on Swanwick Lane. The farmhouse features a rear wing that is timber framed, with the end wall covered in tiles above a bressumer. It has a half-hipped roof made of old tiles and a central stack. The entrance is situated below this roof. The rear wall displays some exposed timber framing and has a brick plinth. There are two single-storey outshuts at the back. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three late 18th-century to early 19th-century casement windows. A late 19th-century to early 20th-century house has been added to the 17th-century section, now forming the road frontage. Friends Farmhouse, along with its barn and granary, is part of a group with Morgans' Farmhouse and its barn at the rear, with the latter two buildings being of local interest.
