Description
This is a barn located to the rear of Morgan's Farmhouse, likely built in the early 18th century, incorporating some older timbers. It features a timber frame that is clad in weatherboarding, resting on a red brick plinth. The barn has a half-hipped roof that is now covered with asbestos sheeting. There is a central midstrey and several inserted windows, including a 19th-century window with small panes at the end gable. A 20th-century garage entrance has been added to the end gable. The barn consists of five bays and has a wall frame supported by diagonal braces. The upright posts display an early 18th-century cut profile. Inside, there are angled queen struts, a collar beam, a ridgepiece, and diagonal braces, with most rafters remaining intact, although some are made of softwood.
