Description

Yew Tree Villa is a timber-framed cottage that has been refaced with alternating red brick and grey headers. However, the massive timber framing with red brick infilling is still visible in the north wall. The cottage features a half-hipped tiled roof with a large axial chimney stack and stands at 1 and a half storeys, with an attic that includes one dormer. There are two late 18th century to early 19th century casement windows with glazing bars. The doorway is located below the axial stack. Inside, square panel framing can be seen in the internal walls, and the ceilings are exposed with beams. Yew Tree Villa forms a group with Yew Tree Farmhouse (No 152) and Rockery Farmhouse (No 149), along with its granary and barn, which are also of local interest.
