Description

This is a barn located 3 metres east of Mellow Farmhouse, dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It has a rectangular timber frame consisting of four bays, featuring Queen posts with arched braces to the beam and sagging purlins. The roof is tiled, hipped at the south end with a gablet and gabled at the north. The walls are boarded, with the lower sections north of the wagon entrance on the west side constructed from rubble ironstone. There is a later outshot at the rear.
