Description
Grooms Farmhouse is a house built in the late 18th century and early 19th century. It features roughcast walls and a tiled roof. The symmetrical front, facing southeast, has two storeys and an attic, with three windows. There is a single-storeyed wing on the northeast side with one window. The roof is half-hipped at the north end, and the eaves are decorated with brick dentils. The walls are plain, with cambered openings on the ground floor and a plinth. The windows are sash types, with three lights on each side and in the wing. A 20th-century glazed porch has been added. The original structure has a two-storeyed addition at the rear from the early 19th century, and the single-storeyed wing has a coupled half-hipped roof.
