Description
This milestone, located 120 metres east of the junction with Isington Lane, dates from around 1825. It is a stone pillar with a square section, positioned diagonally. The upper part of the front is curved, featuring a quadrant sloping panel at the top and a small triangular sloping panel above. The top of the milestone is inscribed with the parish name, Froyle, while the rounded front displays the word LONDON. The triangular panel indicates the distance of 43 miles from London. Additionally, the lower faces are inscribed on the east side with Alton 4 and on the west side with Farnham 5.
