Description

A row of three cottages, originally five, dating to the 17th century and the early 19th century. The cottages are located on the main road (A31) in Bentley. They are characterised by brick walls and a tile roof, with a continuous but irregular front elevation. The central section of the row is timber-framed, exposed primarily in the upper part, with painted brick infill and other walling. The ground floor features cambered openings. The windows are casements, some now filling former doorways. There are three boarded doors set within plain frames.
