Description

Greystones is a house dating from the late 18th century, which has been restored in the 20th century for use as a dwelling. It features stone walls and a tiled roof. Originally a barn, the front (south) side has one storey and an attic, with four windows. To the west, there is a bay with a lower roof that has a hipped end, and it includes four dormers with hipped roofs. The walls are made of malmstone ashlar and have a plinth, with 20th-century openings. The windows are casements. The doorway is a deep semi-circular recess with stone walling and a central door. The rear of the building has a less regular arrangement of windows and shows signs of former openings, including hayloft doors. Greystones is set back from the adjoining building, Tanners, and extends behind it.
