Description

Tanners is a house dating from the 17th century and 18th century, with a restoration in the 20th century. It features a combination of bricks and tile, and is primarily timber-framed, with an extension and recladding in brickwork. The front, facing south, consists of two sections: one with two storeys and another that is one storey with an attic, displaying three windows. The roof has different slopes, hipped at the west end, with the east side featuring one flat-roofed dormer and one gabled dormer, both with cills at eaves level. The walls are constructed in Flemish bond, with a first-floor band on the west side, rubbed flat arches, and a plinth. The windows are sashes, and there is a doorway at the east end set within a large porch made of old timbers. The building also overlaps with Greystones.
