Description
Manor Cottage is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is primarily brick with a tiled roof. Originally a timber-framed house, it has been extended and now features a brick front. The house is two storeys high with three windows. The roof is half-hipped at the east end. The walls are built in a Flemish bond pattern, with English bond in the west gable. The ground-floor openings are cambered. Casement windows are visible. A boarded door is set within a shallow, gabled porch with a tiled roof. The east gable and part of the rear wall exhibit exposed timber framing, which has been filled in with brick. Later 19th and 20th-century extensions are located at the rear of the property.
