Description

This is an early 19th-century thatched cottage located in Upper Froyle. It is timber-framed with a thatch roof. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and has two windows. The roof is half-hipped at the south end and hipped at the north end, where it extends to form an outshot. The roof has low eaves along the front, creating a verandah supported by rustic poles. Eyebrow dormers are also present. The timber frame is exposed, with painted brick infill, while the north outshot is boarded and the upper part of the south gable is tile-hung. The windows are casements. There is a boarded door within a plain frame.
