Description
Prestons is a house that dates from the 17th century and 18th century, with restoration and extension work from the 20th century. It is constructed of brick and tile and has two storeys with four windows. The building has an L-shaped layout, featuring a timber frame with 18th century and 20th century cladding. The roof is half-hipped and includes a shafted stack along with a massive stack at the rear. The upper part of the walls is tile-hung, while the lower part shows some exposure of the frame, which is brick-nogged, with brickwork displayed in Flemish, Monk, and Stretcher bonds. The windows are 20th century casements, and there is a 20th century boarded door set in a plain frame.
