Description

North Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 20th centuries. It is a timber-framed building that has been later clad in brickwork and features a tiled roof. The south elevation has two storeys and three windows, with red brick walling in Flemish bond, an eaves fascia, a first-floor band, and cambered ground floor openings. The windows include 20th-century casements, a French door, and large windows in a flat-roofed forward extension on the west side. The north elevation features three large 20th-century hipped roofed dormers that rest on a catslide roof, along with a gabled staircase projection built in Flemish Garden Wall bond. The timber-framing is exposed inside the building. It has been modernised with minor additions made in a traditional style.
