Description

This is an 18th-century brick cottage located on Gilbert Street in Ropley. The brickwork is in a Flemish bond pattern, distinguished by alternating courses of stretchers and headers, with blue headers adding visual interest. The ground-floor openings have cambered arches. The roof is tiled, with overhanging brick eaves featuring decorative dentils. The south-facing front has one storey and an attic, with three windows, each containing casement windows. A simple timber-framed porch with a hipped tile roof shelters the front door. A single-storey extension has been added to the east side and has been converted into a garage.
