Description
Bounty House is a Georgian house dating from the mid-18th century. It features walls made of brindle brickwork in Flemish bond with red dressings, rubbed flat arches, and a moulded first-floor band that is broken in the center. The building has a plinth and other walls of painted brickwork in Flemish bond. The roof is tiled, with a catslide at the rear and curved front parts to the end gables. There is a moulded eaves cornice, and two dormers with hipped roofs and casements.
The north front is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with five windows. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, with a wider window on the ground floor to the east side. The entrance features a 20th-century plain classical doorcase, complete with a pediment, pilasters, and a six-panelled door. At the west side, there is a lower rear wing that is one storey and an attic, which includes casements and a gabled brick porch.
