Description

This is a barn, now used as a store, located 10 metres west of Lower Hearn Farmhouse. It dates from the 18th century and features a five-bay timber frame with splayed struts and a half-hipped tile roof. The upper walls are boarded, while the lower part is made of ironstone rubble with brick dressings. At the west end, there is a single-storey block that extends northwards, which is now a garage, and has a tile roof with exterior stone walls. The barn is included for its group value and is situated in a prominent corner position.
