Description
Old Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with restoration work carried out in the 20th century. It features a mix of walling materials and has a tiled roof. The long east elevation is two storeys high with an attic and has three windows. The roof is plain, and there is a central stack with a shaft. The elevation includes two and a half dormers that have wide cambered eyebrows. The upper walls are tile-hung, while the lower part displays exposed framing that is brick-nogged above a stone base. The windows are casements, each differing from the others. On the north elevation, there is exposed framing in the old gable, which is tile-hung in the attic. Additionally, there is a 20th-century wing on the west side that incorporates traditional features, along with a large porch.
