Description
Chestnut Cottage is a small house built in the early 19th century, with extensions added to each side in the late 19th century. The structure features stone and rendered walls topped with a slate roof. The symmetrical front, facing west, has two storeys and three windows, with the center window being blank. There is a one-window extension on the south side and an outshot on the north side. The roof is continuous and plain. The original part of the house has painted stonework, a plain band at the first floor, and a plinth, while the other walling is rendered. The windows are sash style, and there is a 20th-century gabled porch.
