Description

Yeomans Place is an 18th-century house situated on Crabtree Lane, Headley. The building is constructed of stone and tile, and comprises two storeys and an attic. The front elevation, facing east, features three windows. The roof is half-hipped to the north, with brick dentil eaves and two dormers, one gabled and one half-hipped; a shafted stack is also present. The walls are of ironstone, with brick quoins, and a molded plinth, indicating a previous, wider central opening. The windows are sash windows within exposed frames. A gabled Victorian brick porch is on the front. The rear elevation is similar, with a 20th-century projecting addition. The north gable has two sash windows above a glazed doorway.

Inside, a central breast suggests a former timber-framed lobby entrance house. Surviving 18th-century features include panelled doors in architraves, ceiling cornices, some dado panelling, and two cupboard niches.

A taller house with a late 19th-century exterior is attached to the south side; this building is not listed.
