Description
Lower Hearn Farmhouse is a house that mainly dates from the late 18th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of stone and stucco, topped with a tiled roof. Originally timber-framed, it was reclad in the 18th century and later extended and restored in the 20th century. The irregular front, facing south, features two storeys with a total of four windows. The end cross-wings have hipped roofs, and the walls are rendered. There are casement windows, including one splayed bay, and an open timber-framed porch. The rear of the house shows the different phases of construction, with the central section having two tile-hung gables and walls made of ironstone with brick dressings.
